A journey inward to self-discovery.
A gentle way to listen through shape and colour. No art skills needed, just a pen and the willingness to meet yourself. This is deep, spacious work. And it can change the way you relate to your inner world and how you meet your life.
Why Inner Symbols – and what it might offer you?
There’s a place in you that remembers how to listen through shape, colour, and presence. Inner Symbols is an invitation to return to that inner space. A way to stay present and come closer to what lives within.
You’ll create your own art, or as I call it, your Inner Symbols, using simple materials, somatic awareness, and gentle guidance through my words. I’ll be with you throughout the process, offering prompts, questions, and reflections to help you stay present with what arises.
This isn’t about making art or creating a beautiful drawing. It’s about creating space, real and honest, to meet yourself differently. A space to observe rather than analyse. To notice what moves in you, without needing to explain or understand it.
In this stillness, you may begin to:
- See the patterns that quietly shape your thoughts and choices
- Notice how you respond to imperfection, uncertainty, or pause
- Come into a deeper relationship with your body, your intuition, and your timing
- Practice listening to yourself without rushing to fix or understand
- Gently shift the way you hold yourself, from judgment to presence
This work invites you to come as you are, not to fix, perform, or arrive anywhere. Only to notice what begins to open.

Moments from an Inner Symbols session: creative flow, gentle focus, and presence.
The practice: What happens in a session
Each Inner Symbols session is a slow, meditative practice, a space to draw, reflect, and simply be with what is present.
Online Session (60–75 minutes)
We begin with a short guided meditation to arrive in the body, the breath, and the moment. From there, you’ll begin to draw while I guide you with gentle prompts to help you stay connected to your awareness. Alongside drawing, you’ll be invited to write freely, noticing any thoughts, emotions, or sensations that arise. You won’t be asked to share. This is a private space, held for your own reflection and process.
My role in this
You won’t be doing this alone.
My role is to hold the field, not to direct you, but to stay present with you.
To guide with quiet questions, subtle cues, and intuitive timing.
To listen for what’s unspoken, and help you stay close to what truly matters.
I bring years of inner practice, a deep sensitivity to body and energy, and a grounded, calm presence. This is the space I hold for you, so you can safely hold yourself.
I’m not here to tell you where to go.
I’m here to walk beside you while you find your own way home.

What you might notice after a session
Every experience is different.
Some notice a softening, a settling, or a sense of spaciousness and clarity.
Others find something they hadn’t been able to name, a revealing through their own drawing and presence.
You may also become aware of subtle inner patterns, how you respond to uncertainty, to imperfection, to the moment things don’t go “as expected.” Some notice a tightening, a pause, or the impulse to get it “right”, a moment where perfection or self-judgment might show up. These moments become invitations to meet yourself with patience and curiosity.
There may be a shift, relief, or simply a sense of having been with yourself in a way that feels honest. There’s no right outcome. Only what’s true for you, in that moment.
What others have shared
An invitation to begin
If something here spoke to you, if you feel a yes, I invite you to step in. This is not a course or a technique. It’s a space.
A space to meet yourself with truth, softness, and attention.
I currently offer it as online 1:1 sessions or small group circles.
Sessions are shared on instagram.com/nebahatgueney and also appear in the calendar below, where you can subscribe or add individual sessions to your own.
If you feel drawn to take part or simply curious to explore, you’re warmly welcome to reach out. You don’t need any drawing experience, just presence, openness, and the willingness to meet yourself.
To request a session or ask a question, write to me directly at elsurneb@gmail.com. I’d be glad to hear from you. This work is offered with deep care and respect for your inner process.
May it meet you gently, and exactly where you are.
