Breastfeeding & Social Pressure is an ongoing artistic project that collects everyday comments and assumptions surrounding breastfeeding.
It focuses on remarks that are often meant as normal, caring, or neutral, but that can unintentionally cross personal boundaries. Rather than explaining or judging these moments, the project listens to them.
Mothers who breastfed, who stopped breastfeeding, or who did not breastfeed are invited to share their experiences anonymously. Participation is voluntary, and contributors decide what they feel comfortable sharing.
This project is observational. It does not seek to educate, convince, or offer advice. It creates space for voices, memories, and emotions that are often overlooked or normalized.
Participation in the survey phase is now closed.
Thank you to all mothers who generously shared their experiences.
The project now enters a phase of artistic development and reflection.
Updates and future presentations will be shared here.
